Our story
Kibuti means family in the Kikongo language.
The Kibuti Association was founded in 1997 to bring together people from Kongo-Central (DRC) living in the National Capital Region of Canada in Ottawa - Gatineau.
However, in 2007, given the needs in the education sector in the DRC, the Kibuti general assembly decided to refocus its programs on helping schools in Kongo Central to provide school equipment and other amenities for the benefit of students, often from disadvantaged social backgrounds.
Our mission
IN CANADA
The Kibuti association's mission is to maintain (mutual) solidarity between members residing in the Ottawa-Gatineau National Capital Region of Canada and to promote the integration of members into our host country.

IN CENTRAL KONGO
Provide our support, in terms of equipment, to schools and students in Kongo-Central.
